The trip
One full week. 7 nights, 8 days.
Our kite catamaran adventures last a full week: 7 nights, 8 days. You board on Saturday afternoon and leave the boat the following Saturday morning. We embark from Athens, Paros or Mykonos (confirmed with you well before departure), and for 8 days we explore the best kite spots of the Cyclades.
The wind
The Meltemi decides.
The Meltemi can blow for days without a break, and it always comes from the north. But it is not a predictable wind: it swings between north-east and north-west and blows anywhere from 25 to 40 knots. Real conditions can only be read a day or two ahead, so there is little room for planning in advance. That is why there is no fixed itinerary: the plan will change constantly, and that is the beauty of it.
Strong-wind trip: 25–40 knots is common. Experienced riders should be comfortable riding upwind in strong wind (small kites). Beginners are welcome too — lessons are available onboard.
